The annual mammogram reminder and carnation distribution project was held on Saturday, October 14, 2023.  The Friends Abreast dragon boat team distributed three hundred pink carnations with mammogram reminder tags to women in three locations around Salmon Arm. The carnations were generously donated by Save On Foods.  Team members encouraged ladies to book their mammograms at the new Mammography Unit in the Shuswap Lake General Hospital.  It was a huge success.  Thank you to all the members who were able to help with our breast cancer awareness campaign.
